How to show Cash on Delivery only for Specific Products only

This guide will walk you through the steps to enable the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment option for specific products in your Shopify store. By following this guide, you'll be able to customize the availability of the COD payment method based on the items in your customers' carts. Step-by-Step Instructions​

Step 1: Install the Advanced Cash on Delivery App​

  1. Go to the Shopify App Store.
  2. Search for Advanced Cash on Delivery.
  3. Click on Install button to install it.

Step 2: Open the Advanced Cash on Delivery App​

  1. Once the app is installed, navigate to Apps in your Shopify admin dashboard.
  2. Select Advanced Cash on Delivery to open it.

Step 3: Configure the App to Limit COD based on Product​

  1. Inside the app, find the Limit COD Based on product option.
  2. Click on the Configure button.

Step 4: Select your Cash on delivery Method​

  1. Inside the app, select your cash on delivery method from payment method dropdown.

Step 5: Add fee for Cash on Delivery (Optional)

  1. If you want to add fee for cash on delivery,then toggle on that option.
  2. Select your cash on delivery shipping method from delivery method dropdown.

Step 6: Enable the Feature

  1. Switch the Status toggle to Enabled.

  1. In the Match Type, select Allow COD only for This Product.

Step 7: Select the Product(s)**​

  1. Select the product(s) for which you want to enable COD.
  2. Click Add to include the product in the condition.

Step 8: Save Your Changes​

  1. Once all settings are configured, click on the Save Changes button to apply your changes.

Testing the Setup​

Test Case 1: Product with COD Enabled​

  1. Open your online store.

2.1. Select a product for which you recently enabled the COD option.

2.2. Add the product to your cart and proceed to checkout.

  1. Verify that the COD payment option is visible for this product.

Test Case 2: Product with COD Not Available​

  1. Open your online store.
  2. Select a product for which the COD option is disabled.
  3. Add the product to your cart and proceed to checkout.
  4. Verify that the COD payment option is not visible for this product.
