How to show Cash on Delivery only Between a specific order total

This guide will walk you through the steps to configure your Shopify store so that the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment option is only available for orders within a specific price range. By the end of this guide, you'll ensure COD is visible for eligible orders while hidden for others.

Step-by-Step Instructions​

Step 1: Install the Advanced Cash on Delivery App​

Visit the Shopify App Store and install the Advanced Cash on Delivery app.

Step 2: Open the Advanced Cash on Delivery App​

  1. Navigate to Apps in your Shopify admin dashboard.
  2. Select Advanced Cash on Delivery to open it.

Step 3: Access Limit Cash on Delivery Configuration​

Once installed, open the app and click on the Limit Cash on Delivery Configure button.

Step 4: Change the Status and Select Payment Method​

Toggle on the Status of Global rules for cash on delivery (COD)

From the Payment Method dropdown, select your Cash on Delivery (COD) payment method.

Step 5: (Optional) Toggle COD Fee​

If you've already added a fee for COD, toggle the button to enable it.

Add your Cash on Delivery shipping method to ensure compatibility with the app settings.

Step 6: Enable Subtotal Settings​

  1. Click on the Cart Button.

  2. Change the Status to Enabled for Restrict based on cart subtotal.

Step 7: Set Minimum and Maximum Order Total​

  • Add the Minimum Amount as ₹500.
  • Add the Maximum Amount as ₹10,000.

Step 8: Save Changes​

Click on Save Changes to finalize your configuration.

Testing the Configuration​

Testing for Orders Within the Range (₹500–₹10,000)​

  1. Open Your Online Store

    Visit your Shopify store's online storefront.

  2. Add Products to the Cart

    Add products to the cart so the total falls between ₹500 and ₹10,000.

  3. Proceed to Checkout

    At checkout, confirm that the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment option is visible.

Testing for Orders Outside the Range (Above ₹10,000)​

  1. Open Your Online Store

    Visit your Shopify store's online storefront.

  2. Add Products to the Cart

    Add products to the cart so the total exceeds ₹10,000.

  3. Proceed to Checkout

    At checkout, confirm that the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment option is not visible.
